Red that holds the whole night.

Floor-length barrel wide-leg pants in a fleece-lined cotton blend, with an elastic waist and hidden side pockets.

Full through the thigh and easing in toward the calf, with an elastic drawstring at each hem to adjust the opening.

A winter plaza after dark, a lit tree, string lights over the stone paths.

She pushes her hair back, turns toward the lights and lets the red do the talking.
